Nizamabad District is located in Telangana State. Nizamabad District is also called as Indur and it is a combination of Nizam and Abad(Nizamabad), 'Abab' means mass of people. Nizamabad District covers 7,956 square kilo meters. Nizamabad District boundaries are north side Adilabad district, East side Karimnagar District, South side Medak District and west side Maharasthra and Karnataka States.

Tourism places in Nizamabad District
Nizam sagar dam, dichpally Ramalayam, Pocharam Wildlife Sanctuary, Alisagar, Badapahad, Nizamabad fort and Lord Hanuman temple
Nizam Sagar Dam: It is a famous dam in Nizamabad District, this is reservoir constructed on Manjira River. It was built by Nizam Sagar in 1904.
Dichpally Ramalayam: It is also called Khilla Ramalayam. It is one of the famous and oldest temple in Nizamabad District, Telangana. It was built in 14th Century by Kakatiya Kingdoms. The another names are Indhoor Khajuraho or Nizamabad Khajuraho.
Pocharam Wildlife Sanctuary: This forest spread 130 Square Kilo meters between Nizamabad and Medak Districts.
Alisagar:
Badapahad Dargah: It is oldest Muslim Pilgrim center built memory of Hazarat Syed Hussaini on top of hillock.
