Warangal District is located in Telangana State. Warangal historical names are Orugallu, Ekasila Nagaram and Telangana Nagaram. Warangal is a capital city of Warangal District. Warangal District formed on October 1, 1953, before it is in Nizams dynasty. Warangal District is bounded by Khammam district to east and southeast, Karimnagar to north side, Nalgonda district to the southwest and Medak to West. Warangal District covers 407 square kilometers. Warangal District is the second largest district in telangana state and 17th rank in india districts.
Warangal is the capital place of Kakatiya dynasties. Warangal is the historical place in world. warangal is recognised by UNESCO on 28 February 2013 as Heritage places.
